The C64 is another computer I grew up with. Great machine, terrific for gaming, iconic in the breadbin design (for me the breadbin is the only real C64). Was less enthousiastic about the BASIC, so used mainly my Spectrum and Oric for programming, but dabbled in programming the C64 as well. Did LOTS of gaming on this machine.
Alas my original C64 is not in my posession anymore as I moved to a Commodore 128D.
But Christmas 2020 I assembled my Ultimate 64, a great recreation of the C64 with modern niceties like USB storage, HDMI and network. Collected parts in several months before.
In 2021 also added an original C64 again.

Building the Ultimate 64
First received the breadbin case, bought an empty case with keyboard 
Ordered an ARM2SID to go into the Ultimate 64 
Ordered 3D printed parts for montage, a SID tap and a LED connector from COREi64 
Finally received the Ultimate Elite v1.4a board 
Installing the board in the breadbin case, and inserting the ARM2SID 
Bought another keyboard as the first keyboard proved to be not working well
